Send each Kendall County request to its actual custodian:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Illinois State Police (ISP), Bureau of Identification (BOI)
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Kendall County sheriff's records unit
- Official background checks: order through the Illinois State Police (ISP), Bureau of Identification (BOI)
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case
The Kendall County Sheriff's Records Division is on the second floor at 1102 Cornell Lane, Yorkville, IL 60560. Call 630-553-7500; walk-up hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Criminal case records come from the Kendall County Circuit Clerk, 807 W. John Street, Yorkville, IL 60560, at 630-553-4183. Its public viewing room is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, excluding court holidays.
