Kendall County Arrest History
A Kendall County arrest can be made by the Sheriff's Office, Yorkville Police, Oswego Police, Plano Police, Illinois State Police, or another agency with legal authority. The arresting agency creates the incident or arrest report. If the person enters the Kendall County Jail, Corrections creates a second record for intake, identity checks, photograph, fingerprints, property, received charges, and release or detention status.
Those records do not merge into one complete Kendall County arrest history. The police report tells what the officer recorded. The booking file shows jail processing. A later Circuit Court docket shows what the State filed and how the case ended. Kendall Arrest Reports Through GOVQA
The Sheriff's Records Division manages police reports, citations, warrants, expungement processing, FOIA requests, and transfers of information to courts and justice agencies. The portal gives a written path when the jail roster lacks the police narrative, an older booking has rolled off, or a search needs a date range rather than a current name.
A useful request states the incident date and time, location, report or case number if known, people or vehicle involved, exact record type, desired format, and contact details. Ask for existing records. Illinois FOIA ordinarily gives an agency five business days to answer a noncommercial request, with a written five-business-day extension allowed on statutory grounds. Active investigative details, confidential methods, victim identifiers, juvenile material, and sealed records may be withheld or redacted.

Physical description, housing unit, magistrate, and warrant fields were not verified as public parts of the Kendall County roster. Do not assume an unconfirmed field will appear. Booking photos should be viewed only through the official record context, never through an unofficial mugshot gallery.

Campus or special-agency records should also be requested from the creator. If a denial cites an exemption, ask for all reasonably segregable public portions. A requester may seek review through the Illinois Attorney General Public Access Counselor or in court as the Illinois Freedom of Information Act allows.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
The county inmate search is the clearest official window into current or recent Kendall County custody. The Corrections Division says profiles can show inmate details, a booking photograph, charges, bond information, release date, and arresting agency. Search with the last name, then use the record link to inspect available details. Exact interface demands should be checked live because roster tools can change.
KCSO daily news releases provide another official source for recent enforcement activity, but they are summaries rather than a complete booking log. A person may have been arrested by a city agency, released without county intake, or omitted from a news release. Entries can also leave a current-custody roster after release or transfer. No hit does not prove that no arrest record exists.
Kendall Arrest Records After Cash Bail
Illinois abolished cash bail for new criminal cases on September 18, 2023. Current Kendall County arrest records should therefore be read with the judge's release or detention order, not with an assumption that every new case has a cash-bond figure. A roster can still display a bond field because an older case or legacy system label remains in the record.
A notice to appear is not the same as a jail booking. Likewise, release from Kendall County custody says nothing by itself about the filed charge or final result. Check eMagnus for the court case. Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and booking charges can change or end without a conviction.
