Why We Built This Site
Public access in Illinois is broad, but custody is fragmented. The Sheriff's Records Division holds reports and booking data; the Circuit Clerk maintains charges and dispositions. ISP's Bureau of Identification supplies statewide conviction history, while IDOC and the state registry answer custody and registration questions. Consolidating verified contacts, fees, portals, and request steps makes those boundaries easier to follow.
